My savage is here now for break in
hey guys i got my savage now i need to break it in but my roto start battery is dead so i will do it in about an hour or so i had another kinda charged battery and i tried to start the truck up but it seemed like the truck didn't want to start im thinking the fuel wasn't getting into the carb(probably my mistake) whats a good way to prime the engine? and for the roto start it stops for a second and starts continously when i try to start it can anyone plz help

take the pressure line off the exausht and blow into the one end until you see fuel.if this wasn't clear let me try this disconnect the exausht end of the pressure line and bow into it and you should see fuel go into the engine,this is how i prime mine i got a drill starter

Hey guys nevermind about what i said earlier i just changed my fuel line i didn't like it so i changed it i ran 2 tanks in my savage since its a 160cc tank wouldn't i only need about 2 or 3 tanks for break in , how many tanks did you use for break in

i used 7 tanks for break in even thought the manual says 4 so i just went with 7 to be save.it runs good and i can lean lean it out alot,but i don't have a savge i browse the forums looking for people who need help

i did 8 tanks because i like to be on the safe side. and i was kidding about the cancer thing although i'm sure its not good for you to get fuel in your mouth...why would you blow in the fuel line when you could just put your finger over the exhuast??

Keep it out of the mud until you deal your RX and servos, unless you think runaways are cool.
6 tanks before you start to lean it out for running temps, 6 tanks before any sustained wide open throttle blasts of significant duration...
