oil from savage exhaust
when I run my Savage SS, oil sprays from the exhaust and builds up on the tire, chassis, and suspension arm. Dirt sticks to it and it forms thick mud that sticks all over the place and it's hard to clean. This is my first nitro and I was wondering if this is normal or maybe it's too rich or something? Also sometimes when I try to start it, it starts up fine but the engine dies as soon as I take the ignitor off. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you probably are running too rich, how many turns out is your HSN (high speed needle)? It should be around 4.
As for the stalling, try changing the glow plug. The plugs don't last very long if the tuning is out. I went through 4 plugs in a day because of bad tuning.

Oil out exhaust is normal, it is inherent with glow engines.
If it dies as soon as you remove glow driver it can be several things:
You overprimed the engine. With glow driver still attached to engine, try to clear out the engine by "blipping" the throttle to about 1/2 throttle (don't go to full or you will overspeed and damage your engine). These "blips" should be quick. Once the crankcase is cleared out of fuel, remove glow driver and see how it runs-keep eye on temps so you don't exceed 250F on the engine or you may damage. 250 is fairly conservative but a good start for a new engine.
If blipping throttle doesn't help, your LOW END is too rich and you need to lean it. Lean it by 1/8 turn increments with each run until it idles and transitions to full throttle.

another thing, on the SS box it mentions wheelies. My SS doesn't even come close to doing a wheelie, when I bring the throttle up, it seems to get to full throttle before it even starts moving. It feels like it's dragging something. I tried a straight line race against my brother's losi xxtcr graphite+ for about 100 ft and he smoked me. This may be the same problem as mentioned above.
