Generally to get the temps up you will want to close(clockwise) the HSN in 1/8th increments at a time until you reach peak performance. Make sure you run it a few minutes between adjustments.

you just keep leaning it up till its running right and at the temperature you want. like joe says, just make sure you give it time to warm up between adjustments, and make sure you dont make it too lean, becuase it can actualy not get a complete burn, and then it will run cooler, and it will be even slower. just keep adjusting and eventually it will get to running the way you want it to.

If you run it lean to raise temps then youll reduce the amount of lubrication the engines getting. Wrap the head to raise the temps.

Now that you have found a good setting for your HSN it's time to tune that LSN to get some explosive off the line action going... Go to this thread and scroll down a bit (or watch the vid first ) and there is a post on how to REALLY tune that LSN quickly.
