Default good hop ups

i got a savage ss and i was wondering what kind of hop ups that would be good for it? i am not doing any real racing just backyard racing and bashing

One important mod I did was change the way the stock HPI throttle / brake linkage works. The stock linkage requires you to overcome a 'C' spring. As your batteries in your receiver get low, the servo's can't overcome that spring efficiently and you loose throttle and brake response. Additinally, you can eliminate the spring on the carb if you get a fail-safe (this is a good idea anyway). Right after doing this, my truck started pulling wheelies due to the snappier throttle. Another good investment is a hump pack and charger. This will eliminate the need to ever get into that receiver box again.
