Savage 25 or T-Maxx
Sorry to ask again, I know the topic has been covered many many times.
With a little less than $400 to spend, I'm trying to decide between T-Maxx and Savage 25. I do want a RTR and have no intention to race or even go to the track.
Here are the questions I have:
- is the Savage significantly larger than the T-Maxx? Is this a plus?
- is there is big difference in fuel usage? Does the Savage burns a lot more fuel?
- does the Savage perform better with its larger engine (better acceleration, more torque, higher top speed)
- is one truck tougher or better built ?
I am somehwat new to R/C trucks (I fly models most of the time). Thanks for sharing your experience.

RE: Savage 25 or T-Maxx
I have the same questions!! I am moving from standard 1/10 RC's to monster truck... and I don't see any great review to compare and feel good to buy.
I like better to build it up (Thinking on Savage SS Kit), Could someone tell the benefits and No-Benefits of each other?
Regards,
Cesar

dont buy either, go out and get yourself a 1/8 buggy,
they are faster, they are more durable, they handle better and they jump better
i am in the fortunate position of owning both but if i had to choose only one it would be the buggy every time, MT's are great fun but they are big and slow and break an awefull lot,

RE: Savage 25 or T-Maxx
I have both and the savage is built 10 times stronger than a t-maxx,it is slower than a t-maxx,doesnt use much more fuel than a t-maxx.My t-maxx has had pretty much everything but the differentials on it upgraded to make it durable, including a XTM .25 conversion & hpi.25 engine along with an extensive list of expensive things to make it as durable as my savage. The only things done to my savage is tires from associated mgt, robinson steel gears(stripped origional because of tires),nimh reciever pack, front 4 gear mod with aluminm diff housing & tsais exhaust pipe(liked the look & sound) thats it..grand total of savage mods about $250 dollars. My t-maxx has about $1000 dollars into it.big difference id say.And as far as the 1/8th buggy goes ill find out this weekend when i finally get to fire mine up..hope this helped

ground clearance isnt really an issue, my buggy can go anywhere my savage can, and it normally stays the right way up

OK, the post asked which Mt not which buggy. Yes buggys are cool but he stated that he would never race and his interest was about MT.
I have the SS because I like to billed my kits. I have not so far broken anything, and I can drive pretty stupid some times. And thankfully I have not had to replace the diffs. Granted I only have 3 gallons threw it.
Again I love My SS, I have never broken anything. Every time I ask my friend to go out and play he always says "my t-maxxs is broken agine" go figuer.

A buggy over a MT?
Nahhhhh....
It's about image n style and size.
I much prefer using MT's. It's true they do topple over alot more then buggys, but thats kind of the fun of it.
Big bouncy n beastly. Buggys just don't have the same presence and demeaner.
They are still awesome, but nothing compares to the fun and size of an MT!!
Saying that i am DEAD interested in this one nitro buggy!
It's this new huge one....XLB or something?
Anyone know anything about it?
