Default Does anyone drive their savage with the body on?

I have never driven my savage with it's body. Is their any particular reason as to why I should? I see bodies as just another expense and something that brakes easiliy. I just wanted to mkae sure I wasn't missing anything important that driving with the body on does.

It absolutely assists in keeping contaminants off the control surfaces and electronics.

The only time I run any of my RC's with the body off is during tuning.

The body keeps off dirt and crap that might of gotten in the truck...plus its alot more easier on the eyes for people seeing it for the first time.[&:]

I'm a body on guy. I need the body as a visual reference as to which way I'm going. After a nasty roll I tend to get confused as to which is the front or rear of the rig without the body as a reference.

You all do make good points. I know that I have ripped my antenna (hard plastic rod only) to heck in the short time I have had my savage. I guess I should run mine with the body on from now on. If nothing else, it will keep everything cleaner.

However, i disagree, I think it looks cooler with it off

Easy way of stopping the aerial tube breaking, cut the tube in half where it just leaves the body, then stick a bit of fuel tube to hold the two pieces back together. Whenever the truck rolls it just bends th tube instead of breaking it, my brother has gone though so many tubes, and i havent, he really should listen to his big brother

a little. it blocks a little wind but it still cools efficiently to keep running.

I do both, When I drive out infront of my house no body is need, little jumps, ect. When I go to the park or anywhere else a body IS NEEDED, backflips ect. and I dont know why I just only run it when I am somewhere else.

I feel so naked without my body. The light breeze whistling through my cooling fins. WHOO HOOO!
