RE: cleaning savage with isopropanol
I do use isopropanol denatured, I have not found 99% near my house so I have been using 91%.
I have not seen any problems so far!

I forgot to minchin that I go over the metal parts with a lightly coted wd40 rag or gun rag after cleaning for protecting.
This is because the acid in my body will eat (Rust) anything[:@]

RE: cleaning savage with isopropanol
I use 99% as I can not find denatured, and the pharmacy can't even tell me what the difference is. 91% has a higher content of h2o, which can cause rust, but if you coat it with wd, when you are finish, it should be fine. You are better off using higher alchohal content...
