best tire
I'm plannig on getting the new ss kit but i dont like those tires since there are no tracks here and i dont plan to race and the
dirt here in DR is loose. I want to use the rims but whats a good bulky offroad tire that wont ballon and will give best tracion on loose dirt and harsh terrain.
thanks.

RE: best tire
I have associated mgt tires & wheels on mine & they are great bashing around tires. They work on everything i have found. No balloning either.Only thing is they are about an inch taller & heavier than stock which caused my stock spur to strip.I changed to the robinson 52 tooth steel & have had zero problems since & the lower gearing made up the difference of bigger tires.Stock T-maxx tires also work very well & no changes needed with them.

I don't know about the best tire, but I really like the stock Savage tires especially after changing the foams for a Trinity maxx 3 piece. The truck handles much better at higher speeds and the tires don't balloon up like they use to. Twenty bucks for Trinity foams is much cheaper than buying new tires.

i have the monster GT tires and wheels on moine and they are great all around with very little ballooning. theyre a little heavier but give better ground clearence.

RE: best tire
I have done a search but could not get the info I was looking for. I thought that since this thred was about tiers that I would post my ?. I like the stock savage tiers but I am looking for some tiers that are a tad bit wider, not taller but wider. Only a quarter of an inch or even 1/2 in would be grate. Also with such a mild size change in tiers would I have to do any mods to my SS to handle the different tiers?
thanks in advance for the help!

I'm not sure about about wider tires but I purchased some wheels from RPM that can be used with the stock tire. These wheels and an additional 1/2" to the width to the savage.

RE: best tire
my bowties are wider than the stock tires, plus they are offset so widen the track even more, and they are lower profile which all adds up to a great improvement in handling

RE: best tire
cool thanks!
I have seen pics of t-maxx tiers used on the savage. I know that they are not as tall, but they look wider. How well do they work.
Alsow what would I have to mod to run LST tiers?
All I do is bash.
Thnks!
