RE: help
well for break in all you do is run about 4 tanks while its idling on a cinder block or something like that, then you run about 3 tanks while going slow, then you lean it out little by little. make sure you let it cool about 20 min between each tank. the Manuel tells you what your needle settings should be for break in. as for bashing tips, when you go off jumps, go off little ones first, then go off bigger ones as you get more used to the truck. and this truck can handle almost anything, so don't worry about breaking it. is this going to be your first nitro r/c?

RE: help
I have a savage and was told 5 to 6 tanks is the best way to break it in. 1st tank on cider block. 2nd and 3rd tanks a quarter throttle. 4th tank is half throttle. 5th is 3/4 throttle. 6th is full throttle. Second gear won't kick in until late in the fifth tank to mid 6th tank. Also, 2nd through 4th tank should be run in a circle pattern. It's very important that you break it in properly because the piston is creating that nice seal. High end should be at 4 turns from closed during break inand I believe the low end is 3 turns. at the fourth tank, lean out the high end 1/4 turn. same in the 5th tank and 6th. don't go below 3 turns from closed position. run it a little richer in the cold.
I hope that helps you out a little. It definitely is a tough truck. have fun
