will the sh.28 engine just drop in to the savage 25 with no mods except maybe the diff mod

yeah you wont need to mod anything else, althogh as u said the diffs will probably need done after while. Where are you gettin yours from?

If your using the stock engine mount, you may have to grind a bit off the inside edge to get it to seat properly.

I installed my .28 sh with no modifications or problems at all. Did decide to upgrade my diff's two weeks later, but they did not go out in that time period. Just make sure you buy the 247 backplate if you plan on using the roto start system.
