Default Time to upgrade my Savage .25 motor!

Hello ive had my Savage .25 for about 9 months now,and the motor is wasted. Ive treated it like a new motor everyday ,and i think the wear and tear has took its toll. Whats the best motor upgrade i can do for about $200?

Go for the Collari. It can be had under $200 and is a monster. If I was in the market, I'd buy one! High power AND High RPM!!!

the wasp .28 has lots of power but is a pain to tune, real touchy.

ofna also has the new picco .27 rated around 3.5hp i think. it would be great to try out and im sure ofna has some sort of warrenty backup.

How did you waste a motor after only 9 months? My guess is bad tuning. You may want to buy the cheapest motor money can find if you're just gonna burn it out in 9 months.

Here is one:

http://rcmodelsport.com/product_info...ort-wpullstart

here is another:

http://www.hobbieguyrc.com/catalog/w...hp_4104752.htm

or another:

http://www.lightninghobby.com/viewit...product=726030

And they are on Ebay. On Ebay, just type Collari and look for the Collari .30

I have almost every suggested engine in this post. Out of my six engines, for you I would strongly suggest the XTM 24.7 Pro. On a scale of 1-10, I would give the OVERALL power a 9, and for ease of tuning, and consistant running I would give it a 9.5. It's my favorite engine so far.

ba_savage - Yes we have them in stock and replacement parts including L.Collari 180 degree headers that allow you to mount a tuned pipe to the engine.

The 24.7 pro IS a GREAT mill.... It shares SO MANY features with the SH28 as well. It should... SH makes them both. All of the things that are to be liked about the 24.7, fortunately enough, make it into the SH28 as well.

Whether or not we admit it, looks are important too, and that 24.7 sure looks sweet.

Interesting info. Now I understand why the new XTM 1/7 buggy is using the SH 28 powerplant. I wish I'd bought the SH over my Wasp .28. My Wasp .28 simply sucks as far as tuning, I spend WAY too much time needle tweaking. They say that SH 28 is a killer powerplant even in that huge XTM 1/7 buggy. Looks like I need to add anoyher engine to the list!

Do you realy think that the 24.7 Pro is a better engine than the Collari .30?
I've never had an engine that's as revv happy as the collari. And it's power out put is just insane.
