Raptor compatibility?
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with how compatible the PRP Raptor is with the Savage? I understand they are VERY similar (similar enough for the Raptor to be called a ripoff of the Savage anyways ) Anyways, alot of people out here in kuwait run Savages and didn't know if just certain parts we're similar of if you could pretty much build another Raptor with spare parts from a savage?
Thanks for any advice.

RE: Raptor compatibility?
While the design does look very similar, the chassis plates look to have different mounting positions. That is not to say some things like shock, wheels, etc can't be interchanged.

It honestly looks and sounds like a rip off. If you wan't quality go with a Savage. I hate it when someone takes such an inovation (Savage) and makes a lesser one to try and steel the profit.

RE: Raptor compatibility?
After looking at some various parts, I would say no to most of the interchangability. Some parts are similar, but definately not the same.
Also, on the link for the truck itself...nice top speed reference.

RE: Raptor compatibility?
This makes me SICK! It looks the exact same just that one or two things are in the wrong place. HPI should sue them for this! Some one should take off this post.

RE: Raptor compatibility?
It is entirely possible that they paid HPI for the design...or for the use of any of the Savage Patents (If there are any). There is nothing wrong with that.
The aftermarket probably won't follow it, so there isn't much use in buying one.
