In particular order...
Hump Pack - $25
Motorsaver Air Filter - $15
HPI 4 Bevel Gear Conversion Set - $10
GH Pipe or HPI Ribbed Pipe - $30 / $36
Hitec 645 Steering Servo with HPI Cam Type Servo Saver - $37 / $17
Center Skid Plate - $20
These are some good upgrades to consider. I would get them all.
If you are short on cash though, the absolutely necessary ones IMO are, the Hump Pack, Air Filter, and 4 Gear Conversion.
Then when you get some more $$$, get the last three.
The THS pipe would be the way to go but it costs around $75, if you're on a budget then get one of the two listed above.

Ofna throttle linkage mod. Not sure about the part numbers, but it's easy, cheap, and effective. Really, all that's to it is dumping the stock servo saver for sliders, springs, and a different servo horn if you don't want to modify the original. Do a search on "throttle linkage mod" and I'm sure you'll find part #'s and pictures of how-to.
