HELLFIRE SIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw 2 hellfires run at my local track down here in socal. One was runnin stock and the other one had a an O.S. They were both very impressive, the one with the o.s beat any buggy that lined up on the starighaway next to him. It cleared all the jumps and was very stable. It was way better than the mammoth st he was running against.. These guys driving them worked for HPI

RE: HELLFIRE SIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't want to seem negative, but how much better can the Hellfire actually be? [] It will still have plastic parts that will break. It will still be just another nitro truck with a relatively similar nitro engine and similar chassis set-up. I can't imagine it being that much different than any other trucks/truggies. I mean, people are already discussing which motor they intend to use to replace the stock motor. One of the HPI guys at the track sighting was using a motor that wasn't even stock. What's that all about?
Don't get me wrong, I really hope that it is as tough or tougher than the Savage and I bet that it will be fast, but I do not see the speculated 60mph that I have heard about. In the end I think that speed around a track ultimately depends 30% on the motor and 70% on the skill of the driver.
All of the hype should be around the 1/5 scale buggy that HPI is bringing out. Even after looking at the design and seeing what I consider weaknesses, I still get more excited about it than another nitro truck. Gas/oil motors and RCs are the way to go IMO. [sm=thumbup.gif]
Again, I sorry to seem so negative, but I guess I just don't get it.

RE: HELLFIRE SIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the stock one was really fast. but the o.s was a little faster. It probably wasnt hitting 60 but maybe 45 or so. i think the o.s was a 21 RG.
