nubz with the hpi 17mm conversion. comes with 4 tires and 4 conversion kits, also available with uv joints and hradened axels. best deal out there. specifically for the savage.

The Dirtbonz are decent tires, but don't run the overly soft HPI foams in them. Before I would go with bowties or boas, I'd get a set of Panther Pythons. They are made to fit Revo rims but you can fit them on 40 series. The sidewall is taller and I prefer that with the weight of the Savage. I went with Team Losi Super King Pins on 40 series Cheyennes. The SKPs are tall, but they are for a standard maxx size wheel. I just stretched them over the bigger wheels and they are awesome now. You can do that with lots of different tires.

I don't know anything about the Nubs.....other than they look too small to be on a Savage, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, waaaaay too soft. All of the HPI MT tires have crappy foams. Their tires really aren't bad. The Dirtbonz have great traction on most surfaces, and they are super lightweight. The problem is that they are thin and a soft compound, which does not go well with really soft foam. My Dirtbonz would roll over so bad on pavement that the outer edge of the wheels would hit the ground when I turned hard. Overly soft tires and foams absorb initial steering, throttle, and braking input too which throws off the handling and makes the truck feel lazy.

if you're racing, always find out what the fast guys at your track are running.

there is no magic tire for ALL conditions
