RE: how long too charge
Depends on what charger you are using. On the charger I use takes about an hour to an hour and a half. But with some real small chargers could take 12 to 14 hours.

RE: how long too charge
I do not know about the charger you are using but my peak charger lets me know when they are charged all the way and it takes less the 2 hours.
This is what I use.

I have this one, but i'm gonna have to replace it when i start running LiPos. my LHS is gonna build me a 2100mah LiPo RX pack for the Savage and both my Mini Quake and RC10B2 are going to be brushless and LiPo powered

RE: how long too charge
Rule of thumb:
battery capacity/charge current = approxamate time to charge. Be sure that you convert milliamp hours (mah) to amp hours (ah) or amps to milliamps so you're working in the same decimal place before you do the math.
Example:
2700mah (2.7ah) hump pack/1 amp charge rate = 2.7 hours charge time
2700 mah pack/300ma charge rate = 9 hours charge time
2700 mah pack/5 amp charge rate = .54 hours charge time - or about 32 minutes.
It's usually best for the battery to charge it more slowly rather than faster. That way there's less heat build up and the battery seems to hold a charge longer. Most battery makers reccomend that the first charge be a slow, complete charge.

RE: how long too charge
Yeah mine has adjustable amperage, a 1700 receiver pack takes 30 to 45 min at 1amp intervals. The charger has a boost option which tops the battery off. The display checks the battery displays max amps, current amps, and charge rate.
