Default New project

Well I wanted to post some pictures of a couple of Savage prjects I'm working on, but my camera batteries decided to give up after one pic. How does someone who runs RC not have any good AA batteries in the house?

Anyway, here's the one pic I happened to get. They look all scratched up but it's mostly just lint from the shop towels they were wrapped up in.

Hey chronic, remember when TBJ asked you if you could anodize them in red for him? Well my friend has experience in this field and is wanting to start up a small scale anodizing business. When i told him that you might be interested in getting some TVPs done now and then he was more than happy, i'll let you know when hes up and running (hes just missing one ingredient to start) and maybe you could start offering it as an option when you sell your TVPs.

CNC laser cut. 11mm LCG, 6mm front stretch, 2 degrees of additional front kick-up, and I shifted some weight around.

I want ones similar to my last set, done in red

Also, due to the forum rules, he can't discuss pricing in a thread. I don't wanna see his show-off-cool-goodies thread get shut down

Hmmm, a club sandwich does sound good right about now.

Nah, not for sale just yet. I have to do some further testing on these.

That would be wild looking. I like the red idea you had earlier, maybe even a dark blue to match my LRP.

Just saw your comment about your friend starting up a small anodizing business. I have three Super Tigre Bluehead 60's and the heads need to anodized again. Also a couple of other engine heads of different colors that need to be anodized. Do you think your friend could do them? Please let me know or put me in touch with him.

Thanks,

Richard

Yep. Maltese crosses, emblems(Chevy, Harley, etc.), the words "Revo Beater".... I could cut just about anything into them. It's just a matter of getting the CAD work done. There are a few considerations to make as far as how much detail I could put into something, but the laser is pretty nifty when it comes to stuff like that.

I'll take a set of extended 6mm in the front(or whatever I need to just switch to a rear CVD in the front..), with Maltese(or "Iron"..) crosses.. As long as they don't compromise toughness..

Hes allready an RCU member so getting in touch with him wont be hard. I just spoke to him last night about it and he was just expressing interest to do something like this so nothing is started yet but i dont think it should take to long. As soon as hes ready he allready knows to come here to speak to Chronic for starters. Also hes a very busy guy, works from 8 am to 11pm (2 jobs) plus he gets up at 5 to drive his wife to work so he might ask me to be his contact on RCU. As for your heatsinks, i dont see why he couldn't, alloy is alloy but i cant really answer any questions on his behalf, not untill we've gone over the details of the process, but ill let you all know ASAP.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, keep me informed as to when he is up and running. By the way, what I need annodizing are regular heads, not heatsinks. Haven't ventured into the car part of R/C yet, but it does look interesting.

Thanks again,

Richard
