RE: simple question
If a vehicle is able to be bumpstarted the engine flywheel will extend below the chassis. Form there you just push the vehicle down onto the starter box so that the flywheel lines up with the rubber wheel. Push down and the rubber wheel turns the flywheel and the engine starts.
That's the quick answer. Not all vehicles can be bump started and I didn't cover set up, etc but that's the idea.

the starter box wheel will usually go upwards into the chassis to contact the flywheel.

RE: simple question
Roto all the way! tht's the best way to start Savage!
(Anyways, who would like top lug around a stupid starter box for Savage anyway? The roto unit is handy enough to be easily carried and even clipped to your belt. Pull starts have the advantage of eliminating having to carry any outside starter mechanism.)
