Default Savage crash pictures and details

I have a truckzilla kit and just last night ordered a whole bunch of new upgrades, why? I had a bad crash. The battery to the servo was disconected in a rollover. The motor was at full throttle at the time, the truck traveled about 100 feet hitting a stack of plywood, bounced off traveled 50 more feet and hit a garage doorway. Damage is as follows: 2 bent shocks, 2 broken braces, chassis bend 1" over both sides, roll bar crimped, broken diff box, broke bulk head, broken antina wire, bend dog bone, stripped spur gear, severly damaged ego. The muffler was dis logeded and dented, I had to stop engine by putting my finger on super hot header. I will be getting Aluminum replacement parts. Yes I had a failsafe, but with no power it was useless.

The battery does not go to the servo. Do you mean the batter came unplugged from the switch harness? If so this is why I have my battery and switch harness plug zip tied together so this cannot happen.

I was there, almost got mowed down too. He prolly half did it on purpose, so he could upgrade and justify it with the wifey. Engine over revved with no load till he could shut it down after the crash. Turns over nice and smooth now though. Any thing we should check on it (the engine) before we run it again?

Those TVPs can be salvaged and still used until you get your Truckzilla parts. Just dismount them, take everthing off of them, get a hammer and find a hard flat surface and bang away!

The "repaired" TVP plates will not be as strong as they once were, but at least they will still work.[8D]

I took it all apart, diff case and other parts are too busted to make any bandaging work. I have to sell some other stuff on ebay to cover damages and other costs related to the truck. Check out my auctions if you want. I will be listing trucks, helicopters and other parts over the next week.

Nope, a losi XXT, 2 speed controls, airtronics receiver with a lot of broken servos, a bunch of tires and soon to be listed a heli, transmitters and other mis. stuff.

How about other people post crash pics, i'd like to see I am not the only one who can wreck an indistuckable toy.

I too suffered in the same manner, but plastic is far more flexible aluminium, personaly i'd opt for the plastic pasts.

P.s this is what I did to mine:

Humpbacks are the way to go... I do prefer them...
You connect another wire to them for charging, then install with the wire sticking out (nicely)
and you never have to open the cover again. I havent opened mine since I got it.

Simply charge it up the night before you go and your all set.

Also a Fail safe is also a valuable asset. For a simple 40 bucks it can save allot of money and headaches down the road.
If your Battery runs low or you lose signal the fail safe disengages the throttle and puts on the brakes.. I never run my cars
without one..

If my truck is gonna break, I want to be the one to break it.. all my accidents I can only blame myself..DOH!!

take care

I agree with Weiser. The hump pack also has he advantage of being recharged without pulling it out of the batt box. If you have a power switch that has the recharge extension, you can just pull out that wire, plug it in and recharge the pack whild it is stll in the Savage!

Also, hump packs in my experience provide 6V longer and more consistently than AA batts.

Bum deal. I have yet to experience such carnage, but then again, I've only had my Savvy for a little less than a month. I'm sure my time is coming.
