Default Pics of my latest project w/Chronic lcg tvps

I finally took the time to finish my latest build, started with an ss 4.6, the truck includes:

1) as the title says, Chronic's LCG TVPs (thanx again dude, these are awesome and what a deal)
2) Innovative-rc 5mm v5 LST shock mounting kit
3) LST aftershock shocks
4) Novarossi T528 XSP
5) MIP cvds all around
6) JR XS3 w/hitec 5945 mg for steering and JR racing 590m for brake/throttle
7) Nova diff cups
8) Nova clutch shoes
9) 3 speed tranny
10) Failsafe n hump pack
11) Wide offset (not sure of brand, got them used on thebay) w/proline mashers

I took it out for a spin yesterday and all i can say is WOW, the engine isnt even tuned yet and its faaaaast, the shocks make a huge difference and with the offsets it handles like a dream. Even with the LCGs, 18/47 gearing and an engine thats still running on the rich side it was wanting to wheelie, since i dont have a roll bar yet i had to take it easy. I can easily say its the best setup i've had so far and i've tried a few. The next step will be a rollcage made of 5/8 delrin rods twisted toys style and a center skidplate, just waiting for Chronic to design and test a center skid and i'll be one of the first customers [sm=wink_smile.gif]. Last pic is of my work space.

You know, based on the wid angle pic of yor work bench, you have a work area as cluttered as mine! My wife constantly gets mad at me and tells me she is going to take out my RCs with the trash!

Anyways, Rock on dude!

I'll try and get a video, might take a few weeks though. Waiting for my friend to finish his drag race style wheelie bars for testing

Nice truck! I like that setup alot. I know you built it to be a basher, but is there any chance you might try some racing now? Looks like all it would take is a shock adjustment and some race tires...

As for the wife throwing out the toys... she knows I would just go buy more, so she resists the temptation.

The whole point of this build is that a friend of mine chalenged me to a race but we had to build a racer first. He had his idea of a good racer and i had mine. The only rules we have to follow is that we have to have the same gearing w/3speed tranny and we will both have this home made wheelie bar that prevents the truck from lifting more than 1 inch in the front for clean takeoffs in a drag race. I would also like to have a race where we have to have more than speed to win, something that requires skills but we are still looking for a good place to do this since we dont have a track in the area. I will try to get someone to video it, if i do i'll post it here. I will also add a wing to the back, i dont really think this helps performance but it'll look sweet at least.

That appears to be Top 528(Novarossi)

Use Scotchbrite to polish the plates. Those were done with WD-40 soaked tan(coarse) Scotchbrite. If a finer finish is desired, you can then LIGHTLY hit them with some finer(red or even green) Scotchbrite, without the WD-40. I haven't mirror polished a set yet, but I did do some with a 3M finishing a deburring wheel and those looked awesome.

Now I feel kinda dumb...LOL.

I'm not worried with how they look, they'll just look like butt the next time the truck gets run anyway

I think you guys are probably the only ones who wil be posting pics right now. I think I have sold 8 sets to RCU members and three of them just ordered. Two others don't post, they just lurk. I could post some pics of mine tonight, but it's only half of a Savage right now.
