RE: one way bearing problem
1 way bearings are finikey, spray a little brake cleaner/motor spray through the pull start rope and it oughta catch. The bearing seeps a little oil out and gets slippery. Happens all the time, even with new bearing. No need to change it out.

Brake cleaner or wd-40 will get the OWB to bite if it's not shot...
Here's where you can get all your XTM 247 engines parts...[link=http://www.hobbypeople.net/part/146027.asp]XTM 247 Parts[/link]
A OWB for the 247 is $19.99

RE: one way bearing problem
if you pull off the back plate to clean the one way.
you can put an o ring on the shaft to hold back the oil
coming out of crankshaft. i used that trick and my one way is still grabing
after 2 gallons.

RE: one way bearing problem
I did that for a while, and indead it did stop it slipping. But I found that the OWB went bad quicker (dont know why), but I went through 2 in 2 Gallons, whereas they normally last over 2 gallons with the same one.
