xtm457 engine problems
I just purchased a xtm 457 engine and got it bolted in to my Savage ss. I am having problems with the break in, the second time I pulled the pull start, it started but it started up roaring, it was going really fast and so I turned it off, an adjusted the idle, all the times after that I tried to start it, I got little sparks every once in a while and never got it really started. What could I be doing wrong?

RE: xtm457 engine problems
maybe u set the idle a little low?. first try this, bump up the throttle trim when u go to start it. u do this on the transmitter. when it's started lower it but get on the gas so it doesn't die

RE: xtm457 engine problems
I think the first time I started it, I was only a millimeter or two more of an opening than what it was supposed to be at and it roared. So maybe that is the problem, too low of an idle. Thanks for the info.
