thats a common problem with the hpi carb, you will most likely need a new one. Dont get the same one again or it will happen again. Im not 100% sure but i think a good replacement is the mach 26 carb or so i've heard. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

no matter how tight i try to lock down the carb. its still loose.

RE: engine locked at TDC.
hey guys
my x is up and running again.
i was able to pick up a other carb body from my lhs
last night. the locked engine is a thing of the past.
i guess the locked engine was from the carb running it rich.
i ran about 1/2 tank thur it in front of the hobby shop and my back yard
last night. starting it and shuting it down a few times and it never locked up once.
thanks for all your help guys.

hey b
yea i got a carb body that fits. cost me 28$. i did get 4 gallons of use out of the stock one.
so if i get other 4 gallons use out of this one. or the engine. i`ll be fine with that. after that i`m going for a new engine.
also this is the last time i rebuild stocks too. next time i bend shock shafts or shocks start to leak. i`m going for upgraded
shocks .
