Default New Rims and Tires

Hi Guys,

I am going to purchase some new rims and tires for my savage X SS, all I do is bash. I was thinking of getting Maximizer 17mm Truggy Beadlock, Half Offset. http://www.smfstore.com/product_info...oducts_id=1022

will these rims be tough for bashing or will the half offset make them easier to break? Is beadlock a nice feature.

I am not sure on which tire to get that is good for all surfaces and bashing.
http://www.smfstore.com/index.php?cPath=65_165_169

and which inserts?
http://www.smfstore.com/index.php?cPath=65_165_170

thanks for your help

I used the Racers Edge 3 piece foams and they were great for about 12 months and by then the foam had broken down quite a lot and they were toast really.
I had those foams inside my Dirt Bonz and they were GREAT, a nice light tire with plenty of grip.

If using beadlocks dont go for a heavy tire because those rims weigh twice as much as my RPM Stablemaxx Rims. And a heavy tire will pull itself straight off the beadlock rim if the truck spends any time on its back at WOT! (trust me it happened!)

I had the Maximiser Beadlock and GT2 tire combo and hated it compared to my Stablemaxx and Dirtbonz combo because of the weight diff.

whatever you do don't by rpm wheels, if you only bash, those rims will break.

I had some stablemaxx rims and they last me for 2 rides. i got the maximizer beadlocks, sure they are heavier than rpm rims but they are bombproof.

Imex makes really cool tires for bashing, you can check the imex trail dawg.

what about these, would they be heavy as well, good for bashing? Or are these meant for racing?

What you run has to do with whether you want eye candy or performance as heavy wheels kill performance. These will be the one I get next as I am into performance.

I want tires for the performance, and looks would be nice. Why are these so tires and wheels so good? I want the best tires and wheels for bashing.

Ya, i also want to get new rims (23mm).
I want somethig strong with an offset for bashing. The offset with also give slightly better handling.
I looked at these, are they any good:

BCkoots that's going to be a neat looking rim/tire combo. Post some pics when you get them mounted...

SPiftacular those are jumbo max wheels, which require the wide jumbo max tires. They aren't 23mm either. I like the Pro-line maxx size 1/2" offsets. You can get them for the 23mm hex and they are nice and strong. I run these for my bashing setup. If you converted to 17mm hex you would have a huge selection of various offsets to choose from.

my bad, they are in the wrong section. I clicked on 40 series, and then 23mm, it was miscatagorized.
