Default Question on STS 30 engine

Hi all... Is the STS30 engine a direct fit to my current savage xss engine mount? Do i have to mod anything to fit the engine in? A million thanks in advance.

This is a great engine, and I intend to get one. I was just browsing the web and found one for as little as $140 flat including S&H.

I too have the D28M and it rocks! I know that the D28M bolts right in without any mods necessary. I also know the D30M shares the same bolt pattern and shaft length dimensions with the D28M and will fit anywhere the D28M will fit. The D30M will fit into any RC that uses standard SG shaft and big block mount dimensions.

The only thing you will need to do is adjust the carburetor linkage. Very simple.

This is true. I do not know which side the carb slide is mounted on in the D30M, but when I got my D28M, the carb slide was on the wrong side. I had to turn it around. Anyways, good luck to you when you get your D30M.
