Default Savage x Brakes

Greetings all. I recently acquired a Savage x and have completed the breakin process, and tuning. However I seem to be having problems with my brakes. It seems even with the screw attached to the arm, screwed all the way in, all it does is slow the car down a bit. It doesnt even come close to stopping it. any suggestions? Your help is appreciated!

Try adding a little fuel tubing between the servo horn and the adjustment knob.

I added fuel tubing, but before I did that (didnt have any with me) I loosened the set screw that holds the linkage, then pushed down the rod about 4 mm.
