help needed savage ss
hi lads do any of you no if the hpi plastic engine protecter can be fitted to the 4.6 ss not the x version but using the hpi allum roll bar as im not sure how they fix on the x i no that its fitted to the shock tower but unsure what else it fixes to heres one one bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HPI-NITRO-SAVA...QQcmdZViewItem

You cannot mount the X Engine Guard with just that part. You will need the two side parts (which form the rollbar) to fit it properly. Example here:

mmm has anyone got a pic of it joined to that part just so i can see how i goes as i might be able to fat summit up ,,,is the x rollbar beter or worse than the aloy one

Look on the HPI site for pictures. The X Roll Bar is better than the Aluminium one because it absorbs the shock instead of bending.

Yes you can as I had one on mine before putting the X roll bar on. You can zip tie it to the stock aluminum roll bar and will work fine. But yes I recommend getting the whole set up.
