Default Looking to get my second Nitro Truck

Greeintgs all. Im looking for some opinions. As the title says Im Looking for a second truck. I have a Savage X and absolutley love it. However I cant seem to find anyone else in my area into rc cars ( at least in my age group). My best bud loves bashing around the truck too, but cant afford one himself. So Im gonna buy another one. Ive narrowed down my choices to a Hellfire (rtr) , or LST2. I now there two different machines, but my only criteria is that I would like something that handles better, maybe is a tad faster, and close to durable as the X. Both will only be used for bashing around. Your help is appreciated.

Go for the lst2.

The hell fire is a nice truck only breaks a lot from everyone I have seen. If you get the lst 2, it will be fun to race it against your X as they are similar machines, only the lst is faster better handler.

The LST2 is also HUGE - and HEAVY...

I have both(LST2 and Savaeg X SS) - haven't run'em yet though(winter..)

Check out this vid - once again, a vid with Savs and and LST2 makes the Savs look stupid, and the LST2 look totally impressive.. Not the first..

(and I'm totally a Savage guy first..)

http://www.savage-central.com/module...wtopic&t=66690

But if you read the LST forums, it's hard to get much confidence.. Seem to be lots of complaints and problems. Makes me thing the LST2 is a truck that has to be fixed after every run - for me, a turn-off.... Still, they sure look good in the vids..

Hellfire is more of a racer then a basher. The Hellfire ready to run is somewhat fragile. I am thinking about a Hellfire but only the kit as I do not do RTR and I race. I would go with the LST2 if all you do is bash.

I would get a Jammin X-1 CRT Pro.... It is structuraly as tough as a Savage, but with a much stronger drivetrain....I have been into RC and nitro for over 20 years, and have owned alot of different RC's and hands down the CRT Pro is the best RC vehicle i have ever owned.. I bash it just as hard as I bash a Savage, and I also race it as well. I ran 7 gallons of nitro thru the CRT without one single broken part, and since then have broeken 2 rear knuckles hitting a wall on a indoor track. As well I run big powerful modified engines without any issues at all, the CRT thrives on big power... And since the CRT is so stable at high speed it allows you to really use your big motor, and due to its awesome handling and stability you rarely end up on your roof...

Anyways I love bashing my CRT, i especialy love taking it to the gravel pits and hillclimbing with it, it is an amazing hillclimbing machine and will run circles around any MT going up a hill.

Anyways heres a video of my CRT doing some bashing.. This video is a little on the long side, as it was before I knew how to use my editing software, but if your looking to buy another RC vehicle you should really check this video out.

Anyways I went to the local race track and bought a used CRT Pro off on of the racers, we took it home and dropped my electronics and engine into it, and then took it straight the gravel pits, this is a CRT Pro with an off the track setup, and it was my first day with the truck...

http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doc...18978039295778

Since this time we have aded more HP, and gotten it right dialed in, I have plenty of video if anyone is interested in seeing what a CRT can do..

but wont be much fun if his bashing his mate with the savage "X".. id go monster mad again, then you can bash each other, more fun, nothing is an object and you can help each other out if running the same kind of models, competition brings out the best in people..lol...

depends on where you live. it's easy to get 'em off tower, but that's beside the point. if you live in a race-heavy area, it shouldn't be hard to find them at your LHS.

and tib...are you sure that the CRT's got a stronger drivetrain, or is it that the lighter truck just that much easier on the drivetrain

I have a LST2 with the no reverse upgrade. I have a few extras that come along. I have hardly used and never raced the truck. I am trying to sell because I don't have time to invest in keeping up with the truck. If you are interested contact me at [email protected]

I too would take the LST2 over the Hellfire, the LST2 is a very strong and stable race/bash truck. The only thing I dont like about it is its heavy weight, but I like the truck a lot. Its a great all around truck and you definitely get what you pay for in all Losi vehicles[8D]

i myself am not a big fan of GS after the experience my friend had with his GS storm, everthing rubs on something where it isnt supposed to, like the throttle arm rubs on this plate underneath it and its left a huge gouge in the plate, also he cant change the suspension position or it like hits the ground or something.[X(]

Maybe he just got a bad truck, im not sure just saying what i know about it[8D]
