savage ss 4.6
hey guys im looking at buying a savage 4.6 i wonder on the relebilty so how many gallons of fuel have u ran though ure motors i will be mostly drving in the sand and a little mud and water after it rains thanks

First of all welcome to the forum! A well tuned engine that doesnt get abused can usually last between 8 to 12 gallons, sometimes more but thats rare. My first engine didnt even last 1 gallon [&:]. If you want to run it in mud and wet areas use the search at the bottom of the page to look up waterproofing radio box tips.

Building the kit is easy, but to be honest I wouldn't get the older SS, but instead you should get the new X SS. The MAIN reason is that they finally gave the Savage some decent diffs. With the older SS you HAVE TO beef up the diffs - with the X SS they're all set..
