Default LST2 Shock Conversion

Alright so I did the shock conversion on my X with the newera models mounting kit. I couldn't be happier and it looks like a beast, the question i have is what stock oil comes in the LST2 shocks. My truck seems a lil soft, did anyone use different oil other than the stock? If that's the way it's suppose to be then great, it's just seems a lil softer from the 8 shocks I had on it before.

The stock chrome springs are a little on the soft side for bashing. I have a set of RC Raven dual rate springs on one set of my LST shocks with 30w oil and it works great for bashing. They might be a little stiff for a lightweight truck with small tires though. I had them on my Savage with 6.5" tires for awhile and they were okay, but now I use them for my LST2's bashing setup and they work really well on that truck.

Imo it should be soft for bashing so it can ride over bumps with ease

also they are so awesome

Soft is good for bumps but soft can be bad for hard landings and bottoming out. Soft is also not the best for high speed handling. Pick up a couple of pairs of springs, they aren't much and they are easy to swap out then you can dial in what you like.

ya if you do high speed bashing and jumping, go stiff.
for bumps and rough terrain go soft

Thanks...I'm gonna try out some dual rate springs and see what I like. We have this huge BMX track nest to the house which is real fun.
