Default Savage X SS vs. MT2 18SS

Which car would win in an off-road drag race: a stock Savage X SS, or a stock MT2 18SS? What about on-road?

Why would drag race a savage, it is made for bashing. If you want to drag race get a jato.

KILL--ROY, I will only be drag racing with my Savage X SS once in a while. My Savage XDrag™ Project (originally a Savage X) is my real drag racer, and is purpose built for all out speed and acceleration. It is, however, not finished yet.

Which upgrades would you suggest I buy for the Savage X SS to improve Speed and Acceleration, enough to beat and MT2 18SS?

savage would win, bc it could run over the mt2 (while its busy bouncing around), and then it would have no competition. :P. THat was my response when my friend asked me if his tt-01 could beat my savage.

The MT2 18SS supposedly goes 74km/h, while the Savage X SS goes 71km/h. Won't a 3-Speed Transmission, Universal Dogbones (Less Resistance), and Aluminium Clutch Shoes help increase speed (they were upgrades I were planning to do anyway)?

These truck are in 2 diffrent classes but if they were to race the mt2 would win evey time. its about 5lb's lighter. A better engine in the savage with high rpms a decent power will get you past that mt2 easily if it stays stock. A 3 speed would help too.

i have an mt2 and put an 18ss in it and it sucks offroad..lol

honestly!!, i gave it to my g/f as i hated it, when we go out the ground clearence is no competiotion for the savage, the savage just smashe's over the dirt, the mt2 is fast but if it has to jump and land the speed drops and is harder to control...

just my opionion....

p.s i think a drag savage would turn some heads... all the best spikeX

What if a 14- or 13-Tooth Clutch Bell was fitted to the MT2? What would happen then?

I would say a lot has to do with the distance you run. All so my MT does not bounce all over the place and handles real well so I have no idea what some are doing to there’s. I have both a Savage and a MT and I do know on a track the MT will skin the Savage every time and my Savage is built for racing. I do not think there is a Savage made that will touch my MT that has an OS 18 TZ in drag racing. Now are you trying to compare a stock MT 18ss to and hoped up Savage? Is so that is like comparing a pro dragster to a Kiwi.
