Default Spektrum's DX3.0 DSM 3CH Pistol w/ 1-Z270 Sx & 1-Z590M Sx

Ok I will be getting the Spektrum's DX3.0 DSM 3CH Pistol w/ 1-Z270 Sx & 1-Z590M Sx. Ok my question is about the servo's. One is a Z270 Standard Race Servo and the other is a Z590 Hi-Torque Race Servo. Which one would go for the steering? Or should I get Hitec servo's.
Specs
Z270 Standard Race Servo:
Torque: 49 oz/in @ 6V
Z590 Hi-Torque Race Servo:
Torque: 85 oz/in @ 6V
Speed: .15 sec/60 degrees @ 6V

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.
Which servo goes where?

Use the Z590 for the steering servo. 85 oz/in isn't actually up to snuff for a steering servo for a savage but it's what you have. I would look for a better steering servo if it was me. Try to find something 170 oz/in or higher. The z270 would work ok for throttle and brake.

I'd use something like this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXHZR9&P= 333oz/in @ 6V

yeah i've got the HS 5955 TG in my truck. it's kicking balls! the response time is awsome and the torque is 200 oz+ for 4.8v.

Ok thanks guys...That's mostly what I was wondering...if either one would be good for the steering servo. Thanks for your input. I know what my next purchase will be then.

The Z590 makes a decent throttle/brake servo, and the Z270 would be fine for reverse if you have it. They are actually comparable(spec wise anyway) to the two servos that come with RTR Savages... waaaay underpowered for steering.

Wow, the LCGs and a new Spektrum too?... now throw a strong digital on for steering and do the shock mod. You won't believe how much better your truck drives.
