I would really like the LCGs, but the thing that stops me is that you have to modify the engine braces. Would it not be possible to make homemade engine braces to go with the engine mount the LCGs come with. If so, I would pay extra cash.

I really have no idea what kind of equipment you have down there Chronic.
Actually, I see why you might not be able too, because you'd have to somehow make threads in the braces.

No Pythonfan, I don't consider these TVPs to be a "custom" deal. The TVPs go out as they are ordered and processed. I've already pushed the LST projects back so I could focus on the MF sooner. You and Dale have got me hooked on the idea of building up my solid axle rig now.

BTW, thanks for all of the compliments guys.

The engine braces I have came curved from stock. Will I still have to file them down?

I made a quick picture in paint to give a general idea of my stock SS engine mount braces.

Wouldn't that make the braces very unstable? They wouldn't be braced.

The savage x-ss ones come prenotched so i dont think its a big deal. It just adds a bit of rigidity to the bottom of the engine plate. If they made a plate with ridges running across it already you wouldnt even need the braces.

lpa...it needs to be notched further...don't use a sanding disk though, trust me; I was at it for a while use a cutting wheel and just cut a small chunk out of it and test-fit. I took the plastic collar off mine and trimmed the end of the setscrew

No, but the LST shocks themselves woudn't even fit under the body with it that low unless you really laid them over. Here's mine with my crappy shock towers (that somewhat mimic the RC towers mounting locations), and you can see how far the the CEN shocks are laid over. And no, I didn't lay the shocks over just to lower the body... it's just a nice side benefit that you get from doing so

Here you can see the truggy-like look that you get from using the lowered towers and body mounts on a lowered truck. Keep in mind that my rollbar is almost .5" lower than stock in that photo, just to give you an idea of exactly how low those towers are.

Hey cronic are those tires smaller in diameter than the stock savage tires? I was just wondering what gears you were running if they are smaller, they look like the prolines a friend of mine is running. I was out running mine today with the proline paddles in the sand pit, I am running a 18 tooth clutch bell and 49 tooth spur but need a smaller spur I think cause the paddles sit about half inch lower than the stock tires.
