Default Rear Tierod eliminators :)

Finally, I was able to fabricate a modified tierods using L-shape T6 Aluminum Grade. This would add some strength on my rear.

Please feel free to share thoughts. I'm thinking of anodizing them with purple.

Thanks!

Carl move the suspension up and down its full length does the piece of aluminum bund up? I would think it would the tierods are on balls for a reason . but if it works cudos to you.

I like it. Great job.

One question: Regarding for toe-in/toe-out adjustment, is the hole (with the purple washer) in the correct position so the wheel is perfectly straight?

I've seen someone else make this with 3 holes for toe-in/toe-out adjustment

Yup I would say at least 1degree toe in would be needed because under power you would then have even toe. You dont want toe out on the rear, not good for stability...it will tend to wander. Great product for eliminating sloppy tierods...

Actually, the purple washer is just for bling-bling doesn't have any effect in the toe-in or toe-out. Right now I added two 1mm washer on the other screw behind the Aluminum braces (where the upper adjustable arms is connected) so that I have a toe-in of 2 degrees will post pics of the washer later

Yup, I agree the stock tierods are sloppy. I got a bump in the rear during a race and the tierod gave up on me This time I need to work on bullet-proofing the front tierods.

Thanks man! I did try to move the suspension up and down with the springs to make sure they are bind-free and there was no binding issues

Here is the pic of the location of the washer so I can adjust toe-in. Also, using the stock 17 mm hub will give you a clearance of 2 mm between the rims so I chose a longer hex hub to have longer clearance and wider stance.

At stock, I fabricated the braces slightly short with a toe-in of 3 degrees. That way all I have to do is to add washers instead of drilling more holes on the horizontal part. I can now have an adjustment from 0 - 3 degrees of toe-in.

Just use washers so the plastic eyelet tie rod ends does not let the bolt/screw head go through and slip off.

This works perfectly. I think the X SS models come with washer installed from factory or come in the parts bag...

I agree But I decided to buy those C-hubs from integy because I install a rear wing and the stock set-up became heavy. Those integy made the savage's rear lightweight

Are those 23 mm adapters on your axles, if they are they just look different from what I got.

Hi Brett, those are 17mm hex adapter but it provides a +15mm offset. They are from Hongnor, a subsidiary of OFNA.

hellfire rear hubs.
Hi Mazdab2600,

Do you think those rear hellfire hubs will fit the stock Lower arms of the savage X?

I'm planning of doing the same as yours but this time only for the front. Any ideas? Reason being is that I don't want to use the Hellfire's lower arms, CVD's and so on to limit the amount of mod to be done.

Thanks
Carl

not sure on the front.
the axle stubs for the savy may not fit the hole on the hellfire carrier's.
i only wanted to try the rear for the tierod elimination.
