does anyone have a old roto start for a axial .28 or the k4.6?
I made a huge mistake buying the pull start again, it just broke on me and i have yet to get the motor running, and i'm sick of this, and now i got mom saying i told u so, do any of you guys have one, or know where i can fine one?
thanks guys.

Check out e-bay or Tower. They have all sorts of K4.6 and Axial parts and gear. If does not matter if you by the HPI K roto unit or the Axial big block roto unit; both are 100% interchangeable.

RE: roto start?
well it might work it might not, i had an old mach .26 back plate, the entire back plate from the motor, and its fits the k4.6 like butter, slides right in, i did not have to force nothing, the only bit i had to do was there it a large, metal bushing, that goes in the back plate, where the bearing goes on the 4.6 but this was a bushing, i had to slide it out just a tiny bit, like 1mm maybe 2mm and it works smoothly, i have not started it yet, or figured out how I'm gonna get it to start, but I'll find away.

What is your opinion on roto start vs. pull start? My friend who's been at this a tad longer said the roto start risks ruining the one-way bearings. That's according to the other forums he goes on.
Would you guys say this is true or false?

a roto u can crack/slip the owb cause u don't feel it plus possible other damage.
i've got both. p/s on my lrp and roto on the new 4.6.
i've ordered the p/s for the 4.6.
with a p/s you only have to carry the gp igniter with you.
i hate trying to hold the radio controller and the roto unit.
there are way's to lessen the chance of destroying the owb.
loosen the gp before starting and tighten it up after. less stress on the roto backplate and owb.
but you still have that bulky thing with you.
