Default Good placement of fuel filter and fuel line(s)?

Hello again,

So all three hobby stores in town are saying my old tank is probably leaking and having the fuel come out of the bottom is the old way. So I spent a little bit on a new tank. The previous owner of my Savage had the lines running below, and directly behind the engine. Because the nipple on the tank is above now, I had to move it. I also heard it's best to try and keep some distance from the engine so it doesn't heat up. I took a few snap shots. Let me know what you all think. I'd like to hear your opinions.

Doesn't the stock savage tank have a built in filter? I know the 125cc OFNA one does.

Rex, do you find that gets in the way of the lid to the tank though? I considered that direction but I thought the tubes would bother me there.

That's a good question! You made me look at the label for my new tank.

Is the internal filter good enough though?

Its always a good idea to run a filter anyway im pretty sure almost all tanks now have a built in filter. As for the lines it doesnt really matter so long as they cant get caught in anything that spins. Changing lines may lead to retuning also so check engine temps for the first few minutes

I just bought an infer-red temperature gauge, so I'll be using that for sure.
