14 mm TO 17mm
whats the easiest way to upgrade a savage 25 to 17mm hexes
can you just swap out the savage 25 14mm for the 17mm that come with the savage x or are there more parts required?
my 14mm are just about stripped out i read a post where someone said they glued the hexes to the rims
does that work?
thx for any info

They are completely interchangable. No extra parts are required.

if your 25 has the left hand threads(counter-clockwise nut)on the left side.
then you'll need to change the axle stub to the same as the right side(clock-wise thread) to use the larger x(17mm) nuts.hpi # z680.

No they are not if you are talking about using the stock shafts as one side is left handed for the 14mm hex drive and the X are all right handed so the special nuts will not work for the 17mm hex. You will have to change the shafts on one side. This is the way I am going to go when I change to 17mm and much better then the stock 17mm like that come on the X.

Good point. I never had the 17mm hexes so I really do not know much abou them. I do know for sre that the Pro-Line 23mm hex adaptors are a direct fit though!
