Skyion G82122 Servo
Skyion G82122 Servo
Ratings 1-10
(10 excellent; 1 poor)
Fit: 8
Finish: 9
Material quality: 10
Ease of install: 7 (In a savage)
Performance: 8
Comments:
I was on the hunt for a good reliable servo that would not break the bank, and i found it. It's the Skyion G82122 Servo from Cen Racing. You can pick up this servo for around 15-20 dollars depending on your local hobby shop/web shop. I was going to use this servo in my Savage X SS, i was looking for a servo that is better than stock, for an affordable price. The servo puts out 144oz torque at 6v, and a speed of .16sec which is fast compared to a stock savage x servo. A stock savage x servo has 90oz of torque, and a speed of .20sec which is good, but can be better. I would recommend this servo for a serious basher looking for an affordable servo.
Hits:
Affordable price
nice upgrade over stock
metal geared
Misses:
None
Step by Step instructions for mounting it in a savage.
How it was shipped
Packaging it came in
General look of the servo
Tools needed
I recommend a clean dry are to work on, and something to keep the screws in.
Vehicle using for install
Turn vehicle on its side
1. First remove skid plate's
2. Remove chassis brace
3. Remove servo horn
4. remove old servo ( old servo compared to new)
5. Reinstall servo
6. Plug servo in receiver
7. Turn on radio
8. Turn on receiver
9. Center servo
10. Reinstall servo horn ( do this while the receiver is on)
11. Turn off radio, and receiver
12. Reinstall chassis brace
13. Reinstall skid plate's
14. Turn truck over, turn on radio and receiver and make sure servo works correctly.
15. Your Finished
Here are two video's to show stock speed vs. New speed
