Default well this sux!!!!

i have a savy with a 3 spd,problem is i busted 2 teeth off the only plastic gear in the tranny(long story),does any body know where i can get a replacement gear.i have others here same amount of teeth,but they are a tad to wide to get the assy back in the case..

Call HPI and try to warranty it. If they will not, simply order the replacement from them.

Yeah, see if they will warranty it. If they won't, you can easily get the part on Tower Hobbies.

NOPE!!cant get it from tower,they have every gear for the 3 spd,except for the plastic 44 tooth one..which really dumbfounds me,youd figure the plastic one would be available before ALL the metal ones,but directly the opposite is true.[>:]

all right,good news,after a half hour searching thr HPI website,i found the part number for that gear,stupid me was looking for it in transmission parts,when its a spur gear,what was i thinking......man i have got allot to learn about the savage.but anyway its part#77054 just in case any of you need it,tower DOES have it for 3 bucks and some change

That is good to know. Does anyone remember if teh 3speed has a steel 1st? With engines becoming more and more powerful, more and more tranny parts will need to be upgraded and reinforced.

right there a a toal of 7 gears in that tranny,that is the only plastic one.i would imagine that seeing how it has the most teeth it would be first gear,i coujd be wrong,afterall this is my first savage

and before some jumps on me,i did not count the gear on the output shaft,its not the problem,and really dont matter
