i own a revo but i don't mind either ... thing is i'm crazy for seeing small things with four wheels fly off big jumps ... i know the savage is tougher but the revo is not far behind and in my opinion is faster and handles better yes i know about the big block savage but if you bolt a big block on a revo cya later savage ... NOW WHERE ARE THOSE PICS I KNOW YOU PEOPLE HAVE THEM STOP BEING SO GREEDY [8D]

Really sweet bashing area as mentioned. I am jealous. Houston is a terrible place to find a good area short of going to a few tracks around. Problem with Houston is everything is an hour away.

RE: massive jumps on a beautiful day
I love seeing RCs go off of moto jumps!!!!
Before i was into rc the local store (which has now closed ) would go to the monster truck rally and hit the moto jump like that in the pic full throttle. Unfortunatly i didn't appriaciate how tough they have to be to do that back then. Oh yeah and that blue jump looks crazy!!!! I'd watch your head for it coming down lol.
Man that is so COOL!!!!!![X(]

Doesgo, that is some sick air! Sicker than I've ever pushed any of my Savages!
For your ramp, can you post the plans on how to make that?

RE: massive jumps on a beautiful day
Thanks!
Unfortunately I can't post plans for the ramp, as my brother-in-law made it and I don't know if he drew anything up. I do have a bunch of detailed pics of it though. I'll get them on a server and post links, hopefully tomorrow.
Wait, which ramp are you referring to? The black folding one in the composite pictures or the big blue one?

Okay, here's the ramp we used for that last picture. Seriously.
It's a 70-meter (Olympic-size) ski jump located in Bloomington, Minnesota. Yes, we got permission!
Here's a closer-up, wide-angle shot:

RE: massive jumps on a beautiful day
Here's the side-view plan for the blue ramp. Sorry, I guess the exit angle was "only" 70 degrees. All dimensions are either in feet or degrees. I built it four feet wide to make cutting the plywood simple. After the CADD drawing is a shot showing the construction and bracing. The sides are 3/4" plywood, the cross pieces and framework are all 2x4s, and the ramp's surface is 3-ply 3/8" plywood for easy bending.
