Whats the likelyhood HPI will release a RTR Savage 4.6 with a three speed?

probably not very good, why would they include it when they can sell it to you

Probably none. Maybe a kit version. Besides, I would not be surprised if HPI were not redesigning the current 3 speed. HPI is really good about upgrading everything, even optional parts.

they will be offering a x style case with a 3spd(hpi#87257)
and upgrade kit for the 3rd gear(hpi#77065)

Remember, $125 is the manufacturer's suggested retail price. The real street price will probably be around $80.

Well since savage is in plan X, whats next? savage Z, with a .30, 2speed, front and rear dual brakes, high torque steering servo, with a 2.4ghz system, and and a 200CC fuel tank, with out the half tank lean problem?. We can only dream.

They have.............it now comes in the X style, 2 piece trans case.

They'll never do it in the immediate future because it's a very popular option part. With that said, I never understood why HPI didn't include it because a lot of people upgrade to it anyways.
