I believe you only need the bottem arms, because you need the upper and lower shock hole mounts. The RPM arm will not work.

You need the lower arms only but you need to replace the front and back ones.

You didnt need the upgrade kit if you have the older model savage. And if you have the X then you could have gotten the full X kit instead.

Thanks... are they difficult to mount? Or is it fairly straight forward? Will any serious body modifications need to be done to the Savage X as it is now?

I didnt really need to change anything on mine, the only thing was that i was running the sav x bulkheads and shock towers and the kit i had was for the standard shock towers, i drilled out the mounts to suit the towers

Even then you could just have gotten this http://www.innovative-rc.com/product...roducts_id=130
You didnt need to spend the extra on the conversion kit.

I saw that but it said "NON X Arms" I assumed I had the x arms since it is an X SS kit.

"NON X Arms" Means you need the savage 25 arms. The X arms dont have the lower mounting holes.

The link you posted is to a KITlabeled NON X arms. Why would I want that kit for my Savage X SS with X arms? Am I missing something? I think my original post is causing some confusion because. I typed "SS" instead of "X SS" .

Is this right?

Savage X needs these;

Savage X with NON X arms needs this;

No matter what savage you have you NEED savage 25 lower arms to be able to mount LST shocks, no matter who you get the mounting kit from. No one has come up with a way to mount them on X lower arms, thats why they specify "non X arms"

If you have the older model then ALL you need is this:
http://www.innovative-rc.com/product...products_id=48

If you have the newer X model then ALL you need is this:
http://www.innovative-rc.com/product...roducts_id=130

What you bought is the kit for the older model. The upgrade kit is for someone who had the kit on an older savage and wants to transfer it to an X without having to buy a whole new kit.

Same thing as the 25's need. The regular mounting kit and assuming you have the original arms, all you need is the shocks. Ill be experimenting with them when I get mine, but am having paypal problems right now.[:@]
