There's a difference between being incompetent and being an ass.
The person you spoke with sounds incompetent. He may be an ass also, idk. Being one or the other would be enough to keep me from going back to that shop, being both would assure that I'd never go back.

RE: my lhs is an ass!
I use a local mix here in Houston that I pick up from my LHS. I only pay $15 per gallon. It DOES however list the % of oil and nitro mix. (it's called Ritches Brew)
I used O'Donells before and my truck runs just as good if not better with the local stuff. A lot of racers here in Houston use it. If it's cheaper, don't knock it until you try it.
BTW - Fuel is not fuel. Don't want to put airplane fuel in a Savage.

I buy all my stuff at tower hobbies. If I need something quick I go down to my lhs, I also buy my fuel from my lhs. They carry many brands of fuel.

I'm like you KILL-ROY. Tower works for me. They always give me deals. But usually buy fuel from lhs and anything else I need right now..

personally I like amainhobbies or ultimatehobbies more than tower. As far as the online community goes tower prices almost always seem high.

Why not? ever tried it? I dont do the race circuit, I "play" with my trucks. I have run car, airplane, and heli fuel through all my vehicles. They run great. I keep them clean and properly tuned, and I dont lean them out. "Car" fuel is around $30 a gallon. "Airplane" fuel at about $18 a gallon. The cars/trucks still run and perform and you get plenty of lubrication and even a nice smoke trail. 30% Heli fuel really makes them scream. I have never had any fuel related problems
just my .02 worth
PS also you can use WD40 as an after run oil. I do. No issues here either
