    Drivetrain upgrades

Im looking into getting a Savage for a beater. The most i will do will upgrade the engine and drivetrain. I'm looking to get the RB 928. What are some diff\tranny\cvd upgrades that are a must to make the drivetrain bulletproof? Im new to the Savage scheme, so im not sure on what manufacturers makes what.

    RE: Drivetrain upgrades

    here are some options:

HPI savage x ss steel spur
thicker dog bones, do a search for "newera models" and look under HPI moster trucks
    allum diffs
and an RPM center skid plate.

i think those should help make your savy stronger.

You could upgrade the transmission shafts to titanium, I have a set but havent yet put them in. You could also get better Dog bones or get CVD's. And get the RR hardened bell/spur set.
Bad planning on you\'re part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Look into the upgraded drivetrain parts that are coming out for the XL They are supposedly beefier then stock.
