i bought 3 packs today of HPI77065. The first one doesn't fit, Is there
a way to find out if the other two are going to do the same thing without
opening them.

measure them with a caliper. The first batches made were .06" too wide. HPI will send you a new set just call em up.

dam. all three are too large. so do i send these back to HPI and wait for them to send me 3 more. i'm in Canada, this sounds like it's going to take months to get fixed.

easy, if you try to assemble it with the bad gear, it simply wont assemble correctly to where you csn put the lock pin in place on the shaft. the bad gears were too thick, so you couldnt assemble the gear on the shaft with the lock pin. the proper gear will assemble correctly when you can put the lock pin in place. its impossible to install the bad gear on the shaft, as its too thick and the lock pin wont fit.

lol
No kiddin?
I have the old transmission case..where to have to tear the truck almost completely apart to get to the trans gears.
I do not want to tear it apart to find the gears dont fit ,then have to reassemble it while I wait 2 -3 weeks for replacement.
dig?
This is why I am asking for measurements.
Good gear or bad gear .. someone measure ,and post...or I'll just call HPI if there is no help[ by tomorrow.

Ya Roger that! Either measurement will do. The good or the bad one.
