Default Will it be safe to run it in the snow?

Can I run my savage 25 in the snow? I have a snow day and felt like breaking it out since I haven't used it since September

Yes you can. But most people suggest that you waterproof the electronics. There are several threads on this topic, just do a search. But there are people who don't do anything preventative and have not had problems. I would suggest at a minimum to atleast put a balloon around your receiver and zip tie it nice and tight so no water can get to it.

I ran mine in the snow, but it was light snow. Had no problems without waterproofing anything. Next time I might just to be safe. Wear some gloves though, my hands got so cold that I couldn't pull the body clips off afterward.

Here's a pic of mine after playing in the snow. no protection whats so ever, and no problems so far been out like 8-10 times this winter. when i am done i bring it in side and melt it quickly with a portable elec. heater.
