starting issues with x4.6
I bought a Savage X4.6 a week and a half ago and I have only got it started for about 30 sec. then it died and have yet to get it started since. I've tried putting a blow dryer on it for a while to heat it up but still no luck. I'm running O'donnels 20% and have an 1800 mah stick for the rotostart. I really want to get this thing started and broken in so I can actually run it, I'm getting a bit discouraged and almost wishing I woulda gone electric which I used to run all the time. Please help

Hi,
i don't know how you made out since your 1st post, but it sure did look like mine i had the same kind of trouble, then i "met" some great guys on this forum and got some useful tricks... leave the glow plug igniter on for a bit, turn the hsn as it was said earlier and also, thanks to mmduc, try the "vroom vroom" way (dirt bike style)! i know that sounds funny but it does work!
once you get the truck started, give the throttle 4-5 quick shots just to get the engine to rev a bit, but do it quickly... i mean don't be too gentle on the throttle or the truck would just die (it happened to me on an open parking lot with a -5C wind chill ) go about 1/4 throttle, not more... mine did just great with that... all this is from mmduc again, not from me!!!
after these 4-5 "shots" the truck should idle, if not turn the hsn a bit more, and do dit again... worked for me...

+1 to insanely rich. 3 brand new X 4.6 RTRs from Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, CA. All of them were barely running due to richness at stock settings.
