First off Hello to all, I am new to this site/ forum. I have a question reguarding the pipe for my savage. I have a new Axial .28 not installed yet. what pipe should I use? The whole truck is stock, its just a basher. Do I use the factory plastic pipe or do I get a new one? And if so, which one? Thanks.

The hot bodies tuned pipe works very well with that motor. But I also vote BUKU. Ax is working on its own pipe for it also but not out yet. Also I am referring to the spec 1

I have two savages One is my sons which is the .21 savage and then mine which is .28 axial . i love the buku pipes and that pipe is on my sons .21 to give hime a lil more edge ! I have put it on my truck to see what it would do and it is insane !! Alot of guys in our group use the pipe and race with it ! again it is not roar sectioned due to the moving parts but alot of tracks dont care nor go by roar ! We are a true monster truck racing group and we do side by side racing and sled pulling so I have my son's savage set up for more lower end then anything !But my money would go to Dave at Buku before anywhere else ! Oh and this came straight from John S. from HPI that the ribbed pipe hurts the performance of your motor ! it sounds great but does nothing to help performance wise ! the straight polished pipe from hpi is the best bet for a stock pipe ! that is what Im running on my axial at the time till I can get the buku for my truck!

I dont know about the buku.Thats on its way (Cant wait) but the polished HPI is loud! My neighbors hate me. pissss they can move!

The buku actually is pretty quiet, its quieter than the HPI Polished exhaust.
