Brake upgrade...suggestions wanted
Anybody have a quick way to take apart the truck to upgrade the brakes? I don't feel like taking a bunch of stuff apart just to do the brakes.

Well the way I do it is, Take the back tires off, that the engine out and there, you have the breaks right there, takes me about 15 mins, Im pretty quick after the 100th time Thats the way I do it.

You will need a really long screwdriver, a steady hand, and a lot of patience for that.. They easy way IMO is to remove the engine plate/ rear assembly and pop the brakes out there. Its about 8 screws[8D]

Man the Hot Bodies setup is *TIGHT*. I'm gonna have to file down the brass part that pushes against the brake pads AND re-adjust the linkage. Phew...all this for good brakes! [:'(]

Even with the SS DD kit i had that problem when they were new. I know its not what the instructions say but I took the tube the screw goes through and flipped it over. The "built in washer" gave me the slack i needed and when they got loose from wearing in i just bent the brake arm to make up for it.
