Savage TVP Question
I have a Savage 25 thats in need of a new set of TVPs. Will the Savage X TVPs be a direct installation, or will it require anything? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I hink the transmission will be fine, there was a change in shock towers, bumper mounts and bulkheads along there somewhere. I still think you will be okay. Might as well snipe a new aluminum cup differential while you are there. If you do not have them already. BB

Hey Squeeky Penguin. You should say to hell with your Savage and buy a good motor for your traxxas revo. The revo is the way to go. No TVPs to deal with and you could actually keep up in a race.

Give up options on TVPs to go with a weaker RC, sounds like bad advice to me.

My buddy has a revo, it's fast too but if you land on the lid the motor gets shoved down and you have to reset the mesh. That is a design flaw to me. And yes, the motor mount adjustment screw is tight.

Tower Terrors have the same design flaw. You would think with four chassis screws securing them to the side plates, it would survive a lid landing. Not so, it stuffs the engine down in the chassis and binds up the spur. The good news is that the spurs are extremely tough and never get damaged. They sure are fun to run though! BB
